INFORMATION FOR HERITAGE GUIDE APPLICANTS

The course is intended to provide successful applicants with the relevant skills to both lead and research walks and talks within Eastleigh Borough, with especial emphasis initially on events and locations linked to the Agincourt 600 programme.

Location: Classes will take place on Tuesday evenings, between 7–9pm, at the Point.

No meeting 16 February 2016

Recommence 23 February 2016

There will be some additional weekend training days for on-site visits and the final practical examination(s). A full timetable will be available at the start of the course.

There will be an additional long distance endorsement for those wishing to undertake these longer walks.

 

Cost: Successful applicants will pay a nominal fee of £50 payable to Hamble Valley and Eastleigh Heritage Guides, to cover administration and examination costs.

Those who successfully complete the course, and pass the examination, will become members of the HVEHG and will be expected to participate in and extend the regular programme of walks.
