Strawberry Trail

A 15 mile long distance self-guided circular walking trail beginning in Botley, taking in the Hamble Valley villages of Bursledon, Hamble, and the area’s most beautiful countryside including woodland and farmland through to Netley and returning to Botley. There are plenty of place en-route to stop for refreshments.

The Solent Way

A 60 mile long-distance coastal walking route from the seaside town of Milford-on-Sea to Emsworth Harbour, passing through the Hamble Valley. Details of the full walk or sections including Hythe to Hamble and Hamble to Hill Head can be downloaded here

Hamble Rail Trail

The Hamble Rail Trail - an easy 4.5 mile walk along a disused railway track which was built towards the end of WW1 to transport aircraft from Manchester to Hamble. The trail links Hamble Common, Royal Victoria Country Park, the Solent Way and the long distance Strawberry Trail.

The Cobbett Trail

Follow the footsteps of Botley's most famous resident, William Cobbett, who lived in Botley from 1805-1820. The gentle 4.5 mile walk guides visitors around Botley village, which William Cobbett described as "the most delightful village in the world. It has everything in a village I love and none of the things I hate."
